In the pages of Revelation
I witnessed a beautiful song
of worship and adoration
alongside the apostle John.
I beheld the One enthroned
in a rainbow of jeweled light,
a sea of crystal beneath His feet,
heard thunder and trumpets bright.
Creatures beyond description
hovered above with praise;
Holy, Holy, Holy
sang the voices that never cease.
Golden crowns of glory
laid reverently at His throne,
a gift of honor for His creation,
for beauty and will made known.
Worthy . . .
Holy . . .
glory, honor, and might;
riches, wisdom, power and blessing,
and dominion forever alight.
Upon His throne, upon His mantle,
these words of praise did fall,
from every nation, tribe, and tongue
thanksgiving flowed from all.
From tribulation to lavish worship,
foul rags to robes of white,
souls made clean by the blood of the Lamb
sang praise to the Giver of Life.
No thirst,
no hunger,
but a Shepherd to guide the way;
tears no more did linger
nor the wilting heat of day.
My heart desires to worship like this!
How can I make it so?
It comes to me that heavenly praise
is learned while here below.
True worship begins when I realize
I am not the worthy one;
I've done nothing to earn forgiveness,
it’s the Lamb that has overcome.
He has rescued me from evil,
from death’s eternal grasp;
through trials and temptations
His love has held me fast.
His greatness is made greater
as my afflictions prepare for me
eternal glory that far outweighs
what my earthly eyes can see.
And while in this transient tent I groan,
with longing for that place,
the mortal is being strengthened
by eternity, by His grace.
For when I focus on that throne room,
my trials dwindle small,
and my heart expands with worship
for my God — my all in all.
Thank you Cheryl♥️. What a glorious day it will be when this revelation is fulfilled. Holy, Holy, Honly. Lord God Almighty 🙏
Cheryl, I so appreciate your insight in this Revelation scripture that helps draw us into the space where you are in worthip, praise, and thanksgiving. Yes, JESUS, alone, is worthy of our worship, 24/7.
Thank YOU, Lord, for this Good Friday reminding us that because YOU said YES to Your Father, we have everlasting life through Your blood that covers us.
